So I'm a slacker and don't post. Then I get a wild hair and post twice in one day!
What I read over January & February (so far):
Books:
-The Well of Tears: The Dream Stewards by Roberta Trahan - odd book but held my attention
-Chaperoned by Dora Heldt - so funny. I giggled through the whole thing!
-Rilla of Ingleside - LM Montgomery - #8 in the Anne of Green Gables series - Yes, I did start at the end of the series - but I found the book and got sucked in. Side note: Love the name Rilla!
-The All New Square Foot Gardening by Mel Bartholomew - getting ready for our garden!! I am not going to to it exactly like this but definitely using some of his ideas.
Magazines:
-Garden & Gun - so random that we get this one but the pictures are pretty!
-People Style Watch
-Better Homes & Gardens
-Real Simple
Lots and Lots of Blogs - per usual
Have a great day!

hello february!
Hello to February!!
Hello to making a 96 on my first test in my class!
Hello to warmer days! thank goodness!
Hello to a puppy dog who WILL NOT let us cut her nails. Seriously, she let us do one and that only happened because we did it while she was asleep. Needless to say, she woke up! ha! (and by "we" and "us" - I totally mean the fella)
Hello to a new Bible study - Brave by Angela Thomas
Hello to planning a camping trip with my fella -
Hello to planning our 2nd anniversary! - less than one month away!
Hello to the Northstar 3 yr old class at 8:30 am! loving getting back in a Sunday school room - they are so cute!
Happy love month! The fella and I have a rule that we will only spend $10 a piece on Valentine's Day. Last year, I got him a GIANT bag of gummi bears which made his heart so happy. I have some ideas cooking about this year. Now to just finding the time to go get it!

what i'm reading...december edition
well, really I have only been rockin' and rollin' on my Bible reading. I finished up Jeremiah. And Lamentations, Ezekiel, Daniel, Hosea, Joel, Amos, Obadiah, Jonah, Micah, Nahum, Habakkuk, Zephaniah, Haggai and Zechariah.
So now, with only a couple weeks left of 2012, I only have Matthew, Mark, and Luke to go! I feel very accomplished that I finally read the entire Old Testament. To be honest, it's kind of hard to get through but I did it!
I entered into this Read Through the Bible plan through a group on Facebook. I am so glad that I decided I would do this over 2012. It has helped me develop a habit of getting up every morning to spend time in God's Word!
In 2013, I hope to read through the Bible chronologically. I found a plan on YouVersion that will be leading me. If you would like to follow along, click here.
I'm also going to be participating in the 2013 Siesta Scripture Memory Team with Living Proof Live and Beth Moore! For more information on this, click here.
What I'm reading turned into a goal/activity list for 2013...what can I say, I get distracted!
Merry Christmas!

so what in the world has happened??
Apparently, I fell off the face of the planet. Since March, I have:::
- Had my one year anniversary.
- conducted 2 Easter egg hunts
- threw 4 end of the school year parties
- ran a MEGA Sports Camp for 75 children.
- summer camp
- left my job
- spent LOTS of time at home doing "projects" - like repainting our bedroom, redoing an antique buffet, organizing lots of things, etc.
- did a terrible job at keeping our garden growing and productive
- went to the cabin a.k.a. my happy place - we tubed down a river, played mini golf, mined for gems, panned for gold, enjoyed some down time
- watch my husband work his butt off this summer
- had my in-laws visit.
- got a new job!
- joined a small group at church
- had some friends visit from Arizona
- head back to the cabin after buying a new to us truck
- redid our bathroom
All in all, it's been a good year. Definitely a challenging one but a good one none the less.
Here's to actually being a good blogger.
